The wisdom of Gilligan's Island the TV movie Rescue from Gilligan's Island, the Professor "invents" the skateboard, apparently oblivious to its prior existence.


As I evolved my definition of fun as an engagement tool, flow theory / zone of proximal development / scaffolding became more focal until I reinvented portions of  Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's 8 dimensions of flow. Cue sad trumpets, wah-wahh.

THIS IS GOOD and an important indicator of mainstream thinking! Cue trumpets of triumph!

Reinventing a wheel you were unaware of means you are one step closer to catching up to the world's thinking on the subject with the goal of surpassing it. At the end of the day this is absolute validation that you are on the right track.
